FAQs

+HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?

Say Hello and I will get back to you within 24 hours. From there, I like to set up a time for us to connect over the phone or Google meet to learn more about your day and get to know you and your partner better. If you would like to work together and we jive, I’ll then send you my contract to sign and retainer invoice to make that date yours!

+HOW MANY EDITED IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?

Every shoot is a little different and I don’t want the focus to be on the quantity of images you receive, but more on the quality of the images. I will make sure to fully capture your day to tell the complete story, so that tends to be around 60-100 images/ hour.

+DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?

You betchya. Full business insurance for me, my gear and all the other stuff.

+WILL YOU HELP US WITH OUR TIMELINE?

Definitely! If you have a wedding planner you’re working with, I will collaborate with them on your timeline and if you don’t have a planner, no worries! Once we get the contract signed, I will send you a wedding day information document that will help me create the best photography timeline for your day. We then set up a call a month before your wedding to talk through the timeline, answer any questions and make sure your day is going to run smoothly and be the best!

+DO YOU TRAVEL TO PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS?

Heck yes I do! I have said since I was a youngin’ that I want to travel and take photographs when I grow up, which I am doing, so let’s get me on a plane and to you!

I live in Oakland, CA so any weddings/adventures outside of a 50 mile radius will have a small travel fee added. Out of state or Country weddings will require travel+lodging coverage for me.

+DO YOU OFFER ALBUMS?

I really love designing albums so yes I do! Your photos tend to live on your computer in a folder, so having something tangible on your coffee table or bookshelf bring your images life. Being able to look through your album whenever you’re feeling a #throwback has to be the best thing! We work together on the album design to make sure you love it and it's a very easy process! My albums are printed on archival photographic papers and handcrafted with great attention to detail. I offer albums with seamless spreads and beautiful cover options and personalization. You can see an example of a few albums I have designed here.

+SHOULD WE DO AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION IF WE'RE NOT ELOPING?

Yes! This gives us another opportunity to meet each other and gives you two an opportunity to get used to being in front of the camera. It helps to get the pre-wedding jitters out and I get to connect with you two even more. You also get extra photos of you two, documenting the exciting time during your engagement! It may seem silly, but trust me, it’s worth it.

+DO YOU RECOMMEND A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?

The answer depends on a few factors and ultimately, it’s up to you! I am more than comfortable photographing a wedding with up to about 125 guests on my own. If you’re having more guests than that or a very involved day, I’d think about adding on a second photographer to your package. It also depends on how you’re structuring your timeline and what parts of your day are extra important to you.

If you’re doing a first look, then I will have time to roam cocktail hour and take photos of your guests mingling and enjoying themselves, because we'd have done your portraits beforehand and you'll get to join cocktail hour as well. Win win!

If you don’t do a first look, we will need to use the cocktail hour time for your portraits, family formals and wedding party photos (if you have a wedding party) -- which will mean I won’t be able to make it to cocktail hour, UNLESS I have a second photographer and then we can be in two places at the same time! This is a brief answer to this question - I am happy to expand more on this when we chat :)
